Description
A collection of ten 12-inch vinyl LP records featuring various classical and orchestral recordings. The majority of the albums are from the Columbia Masterworks label, with additional examples from CBS and the CBC SM5000 series. The collection includes performances by notable artists and conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, George Szell, Glenn Gould, John Williams, and Andre Kostelanetz. Featured works include compositions by Beethoven, Mozart, Gershwin, Dvorak, Bach, Puccini, Rodrigo, and Sibelius. The sleeves display various Columbia logos, including the walking eye graphic. One album is a Canadian CBC import.
Condition report:
The outer cardboard sleeves show signs of age-related wear, including corner scuffing, edge wear, and light creasing. There is visible surface foxing and yellowing on several of the lighter-coloured covers. The Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue sleeve displays notable staining along the bottom edge. One album is contained within a clear plastic outer sleeve. The vinyl records themselves have been inspected for scratches or warping but have not been tested for audio playback quality.
