A Collection of 10 Vinyl LP Records Featuring Classical Music and Classical Guitar
Description
This group comprises 10 vinyl LP records focusing on classical music and classical guitar. The collection includes a Spanish Song Recital by Victoria de los Angeles with pianist Geoffrey Parsons on EMI Records and J.S. Bach: Magnificat, BWV 243 conducted by Helmuth Rilling. Piano works are represented by Murray Perahia performing Mozart Piano Concerti Nos. 22 & 8 with the English Chamber Orchestra on CBS Masterworks. A significant portion of the lot features guitarist John Williams, including the titles Echoes of London, Greatest Hits, and Rodrigo: Concierto de Aranjuez & Fantasia para un Gentilhombre, as well as a sampler titled CBS Records presents John Williams and a collaboration with organist Peter Hurford titled Bach. Additional records include Branford Marsalis: Romances for Saxophone and the original soundtrack for the Joseph Losey film Don Giovanni, conducted by Lorin Maazel. The records are standard commercial releases from the late 20th century under labels such as CBS Masterworks and EMI.
Condition report:
The album covers show signs of age and handling wear typical for vintage records. Notable issues include edge wear and bumping to the corners. The playability of the vinyl discs themselves have not been assessed but all appear to be good condition.
