Description
This lot comprises a mid-century modern rotating spice rack set, designed in a carousel or ferris wheel style, resembling Danish designs attributed to Digsmed. The central carousel is constructed from a warm-toned hardwood, featuring a central metal pivot and multiple spokes. Each spoke terminates in a black plastic stopper designed to hold a cylindrical clear glass jar. The set includes a collection of glass jars and a partial sheet of original printed adhesive paper labels. Visible labels include Curry, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Basil, and Sage. The items are contained within their original retail cardboard box with protective polystyrene inserts.
Condition report:
The set appears to be in unused condition, consistent with new old stock. The glass jars and wooden components appear well-preserved and free from visible damage. The original cardboard box exhibits significant shelf wear, including tearing, creasing, and age-related discolouration to the surfaces.
