Description
This Regency Fine Arts hand-painted resin figurine, titled Squirrel, was designed in the United Kingdom and released in 1999. The piece depicts a textured yellow squirrel with a bushy tail perched upon a hollowed-out tree stump. The base of the stump is embellished with various woodland details, including green foliage, small white flowers, and three red-capped toadstools with white spots. The hollow centre of the tree stump indicates its design may allow for use as a small decorative planter or wall pocket. The figurine is currently fixed to a varnished wooden backing board. The underside of the resin piece features a brown printed manufacturer’s mark. This mark includes the Regency Fine Arts name in a stylised script, a circular logo containing a crown and the letters RFA, and the company motto A pleasure to own, a delight to receive. Additional inscriptions on the base include the title Squirrel, Designed in the U.K., Hand Painted, and the copyright date © 1999.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the resin structure. The hand-painted finish remains vibrant across all decorative elements. The wooden mounting board shows minor surface wear and scuffing consistent with age.
