Vintage Jam Coin and Eurocoin Token
Description
This lot features two non-denominated machine tokens intended for automated commercial services. The first token, attributed to the manufacturer Eurocoin based on design consensus, is struck in a silver-toned metal and features two parallel vertical grooves on the obverse. It bears the vertical inscription EUROCLEAN positioned above a company logo and the trademark symbol TM. The second token is composed of a dark-toned base metal, likely a copper alloy, and features the vertical inscription MUNZE in a block, stylised typeface. Neither item displays a specific date or currency denomination, which is characteristic of tokens produced for car washes, laundrettes, or vending machines.
Condition report:
The silver-toned EUROCLEAN token is in very fine condition, showing light surface scratches and minor contact marks while retaining its original metallic lustre. The dark-toned MUNZE token is in good condition, exhibiting significant circulation wear, numerous surface abrasions, and a heavy, aged patina with areas of surface oxidation.
