Lot 340:
Two Seek Publishing 1941 Remember When and Yearbook Commemorative Booklets
Description
This lot comprises two staple-bound softcover commemorative booklets produced by Seek Publishing, each focusing on the year 1941. The first item is a green-covered booklet titled Remember When… A Nostalgic Look Back In Time. The cover features a composite illustration of 1940s cultural icons, including a jukebox, a vintage aeroplane, and a Swanson TV dinner. The interior contains a 1941 Cost of Living table alongside a full-page vintage-style advertisement for Campbell’s Vegetable Soup. The second item is a brown-covered 1941 Yearbook, subtitled A time capsule of momentous events. The cover is decorated with a sunburst pattern and panels depicting historical figures and a vintage motor car. The interior continues the nostalgic theme with an everyday life cost list styled as a handwritten notebook and a fun fact regarding paper currency. Both publications use cream-coloured paper stock to simulate a vintage aesthetic.
