Large Oak Circular Wall Mounted Perpetual Calendar

Description
A wall-mounted perpetual calendar housed in a circular dark-stained oak frame. The frame features a stepped, turned profile with a dark brown finish. Three vertical apertures to the front reveal white paper or card scrolls printed with bold black sans-serif lettering, currently set to Thursday, 24 September. The reverse of the unit contains a rectangular wooden housing enclosing the scroll mechanism. Twelve turned wooden adjustment pegs, arranged in two rows of six, protrude from the top and bottom of this rear casing to allow manual advancing of the day, date and month. A small brass suspension bracket is fixed to the left side of the rear casing. The frame displays two vertical splits in the wood at the upper and lower positions, consistent with the age of the timber.

Condition report:
The calendar is in used condition. The wooden frame shows significant surface wear and two prominent vertical cracks.
