Vintage Wilhelm Hanebeck Solingen Stainless Steel Poultry Shears
Description
A pair of vintage poultry shears manufactured from stainless steel. The tool features curved blades, with the upper blade incorporating a serrated section and a bone-cutting notch specifically for jointing fowl. The handles are contoured and include a hinged metal safety catch at the terminal ends to secure the blades in a closed position. A heavy-duty internal coil spring is mounted between the handles to provide an automatic opening action. One side of the tool is stamped with the word INOX, indicating stainless steel construction. The handle also features a rectangular manufacturer mark containing the letters W and H on the top row and Ba in a smaller rectangle below, identifying the maker as Wilhelm Hanebeck of Solingen-Baumberg.

Condition report:
The shears are in used vintage condition. The stainless steel components show surface scratching and minor pitting consistent with age. The internal coil spring is heavily oxidized with significant surface rust. The locking catch is present and remains functional.
