Fidelity UA8 Stereo Record Player, Excellent Condition
Description
A vintage British-made Fidelity UA8 stereo record player and integrated amplifier unit. This solid-state, transistorised system is housed in a wood-grain veneer cabinet with a black top deck and is supported by four tapered wooden legs. The unit features a two-speed turntable with selectable settings for 33 and 45 RPM records. The control interface includes three slider potentiometers for volume, treble, and bass adjustments, alongside a push-button power switch and a red indicator lamp. A 1/4-inch headphone jack is situated on the top panel. The rear panel provides connectivity via two 2-pin DIN speaker sockets, marked LH and RH, and a single 5-pin DIN tape input/output socket. A clear smoked plastic hinged dust cover is fitted to the top. The front panel is marked FIDELITY and UA8.
Condition report:
The unit appears visually complete. There is visible surface dust, The wood-effect veneer and black plastic components show minor age-related scuffs and wear. The smoked plastic dust cover exhibits minimal surface scratches and abrasions consistent with use. Mechanical and electrical functions have not been tested.
