A Chesilvale Electronics DSTS 2 Dual Standard Test Set, manufactured in August 1991. The instrument is a professional telecommunications technician’s handset, commonly known as a butt set, constructed from a robust moulded blue plastic housing. It features a grey coiled modular cord and a black control panel with a full numerical keypad including asterisk and hash keys. The interface includes several functional switches and rubberised buttons for specialised testing, including talk and monitor modes, tone and pulse selection, ground start, timed break recall, polarity, last number redial, and a mute function. The unit is complete with its original printed instruction manual and is housed in its original clear plastic internal bag within the manufacturer’s serialized cardboard shipping box.
