GPO 746 Style Two-Tone Grey and Brown Rotary Dial Telephone - very good condition
Not sold
Description
A vintage rotary dial desk telephone designed in the GPO 746 style. The unit features a two-tone colour scheme, consisting of a pebble grey plastic base housing and a contrasting dark chocolate brown handset and circular dial surround. The dial is equipped with a clear plastic rotary finger wheel over a numeric face displaying digits 1 to 0. A small clear plastic window for a subscriber number card is positioned below the handset rest. The handset is connected by a dark brown coiled cord, while the main line cord is a long, light grey cable terminating in a modern UK BT-style 431A plug. The internal bell mechanism is a traditional mechanical ringer. A small embossed marking is visible in the centre of the dial, though the characters are not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The telephone is in very good condition with a high-gloss finish to the plastic casing.
