Lot 39:
Art Deco Style EPNS A1 Silver Plated Seven Piece Dessert Set - Very Good Condition
Not sold
Description
This lot comprises a cased seven-piece dessert serving set, featuring one large serving spoon and six matching smaller spoons. Each piece is crafted from silver-plated nickel silver, with the handles bearing the impressed mark EPNS A1, denoting the highest grade of electroplating. The spoons exhibit a mid-century Art Deco influence, characterised by tapered, angular handles terminating in simple linear engraved accents. The bowls are finished to a high polish, creating a reflective surface. The set is housed in a fitted presentation case with a distinctive two-tone textured exterior, featuring grey and red wave-patterned halves. The interior is lined with gathered pink satin and secured with red velvet-covered blocks and two brass-toned swing latches.
Spoon length: Approx 20 cm
Small spoon length: Approx 12 cm.
Condition report:
The set is in very good condition. The silver plating remains bright with minimal wear and the presentation case shows only light age-related marks to the edges.
