Lot 85:
Stainless Steel Katori Bowls and Plates Collection - Used Condition
Sold for: £6
Description
This lot comprises a large collection of approximately 65 pieces of stainless steel kitchenware, primarily consisting of traditional Indian-style service items. The assembly includes a wide variety of small bowls, known as katori, alongside nesting bowls, high-sided tumblers, and assorted plates. The pieces feature a mix of designs; the majority are plain polished steel with simple rims, while others display decorative fluted or repoussé-style petal patterns around the edges. One notable plate is hexagonal in form. Several bowls feature embossed floral or geometric motifs on the interior base. Small red adhesive labels are present on the interiors of several pieces, though the text is not legible. The collection is constructed from durable stainless steel and serves as a comprehensive set of components for traditional thali service or high-capacity catering.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition with visible surface scratches and water spotting throughout.
