Description
An earthenware serving platter produced by Hollinshead & Kirkham in Tunstall. The piece features a flow blue transfer-printed decoration in the Regent Derby pattern, characterised by deep cobalt tones that bleed softly into the white glaze. It is rectangular in form with a lobed and scalloped rim. The decorative scheme consists of a wide, dense border featuring stylised floral motifs, scrolling foliage, and diaper-patterned panels. A secondary inner floral wreath surrounds a plain white central well. The reverse of the platter identifies the pattern name and the manufacturer, including the Stoke-on-Trent production location.
