The piece is constructed using a complex twill weave of flat bamboo splints, featuring a distinctive two-tone chevron or zig-zag pattern achieved through the use of natural and dark-stained materials. The tray has a shallow, slightly convex profile and is finished with a robust, raised rim. This rim is reinforced and bound with a continuous coil of rattan, providing structural integrity to the circular form. The underside displays a continuation of the geometric woven design.
