Description
A rustic handmade folding ladder, constructed from unpeeled saplings forming the outer rails and wedge-shaped timber sections for the rungs. The rungs are formed from split timber sections, secured with metal fasteners to the sapling uprights. The structure incorporates metal hinge brackets and bracing for its folding design, with the base of the rails finished in black rubberised tips. The piece exhibits a vernacular, utilitarian style and shows notable signs of outdoor exposure, including significant peeling and loss to the bark alongside weathered wood surfaces. The metal hardware displays surface corrosion consistent with age and utility. No additional accessories are present.
