Six Decorative Embossed Brass Wall Plates and Trays - Used Condition
Sold for: £4
Description
This lot comprises a collection of six decorative wall plates and trays, predominantly crafted from embossed brass. The assembly includes a pair of large circular wall plates featuring high-relief scenes of figures in Dutch-style tavern interiors, enclosed by wide borders of scrolling acanthus leaves, fruit, and floral motifs. A smaller matching pair depicts figures in an outdoor courtyard setting with consistent foliate ornamentation. The lot is completed by a smaller circular plate showing a desert scene with a camel and buildings, exhibiting bi-metallic tones, and a circular tray with a central embossed six-pointed leaf and star design. Each piece displays a natural aged patina and detailed repousse style workmanship characteristic of mid-20th-century domestic ornaments.
