Lot 48:
Ken Hom Stainless Steel Wood Handled Chinese Cleaver - Very Good Condition
Sold for: £3
Description
A Ken Hom stainless steel Chinese vegetable cleaver, featuring a rectangular blade and a dark-stained hardwood handle secured by two brass rivets. The blade is signed and identifies the stainless steel material. The tool is accompanied by the original instructional cardboard blade guard. The construction consists of a full-width blade with a tang extending into the rectangular-profile wooden handle. The cutting edge appears to be the original factory grind. The blade has a flat spine and a slightly curved belly, designed for traditional chopping and slicing techniques. The wooden handle has a chamfered rectangular cross-section to provide a secure grip. The cardboard guard serves as a protective sleeve and a reference for various cutting methods.
Condition report:
The cleaver is in very good condition.
