Shanghai Handicrafts Nine Piece Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Set - Looks New
Description
This lot comprises a Shanghai Handicrafts nine piece Chinese calligraphy and painting set, presented in a red moulded tray with a clear plastic cover. The collection includes three brushes of varying sizes featuring bamboo or light wood handles with black and red caps, one of which bears gold-coloured Chinese characters. Four metal tubes of watercolour and tempera paint are provided in Prussian Blue, Vermillion, Lemon Yellow, and Burnt Sienna. The set is further composed of a black rectangular ink stick decorated with a floral motif in gold, white, and green, alongside a rectangular black ink stone with a recessed well. A white porcelain brush rest in a mountain peak form and a brass-coloured metal water spoon complete the assortment.
Condition report:
The set is in very good condition, although the plastic cover is heavily scuffed.
