Cyprus Carved Wood and Brass Carving Set - Used Condition
Description
This lot comprises a mid-twentieth-century souvenir carving set consisting of a steel knife, a two-prong steel fork, and a dual-entry wooden sheath. Both the knife and fork are fitted with dark-stained wooden handles featuring brass crossguards and simple carved detailing. The sheath is constructed from matching wood with brass end-caps, four small finial feet, and two pivoting brass latches to secure the utensils. Hand-carved decoration on the sheath includes floral motifs and a central map of the island of Cyprus with incised lettering reading CYPRUS. The knife features a single-edged, clip-point-style blade, while the fork has two tapered prongs and a decorative shaped bolster.
