Description
This decorative item is a commercially produced stretched canvas print based on an original watercolour by Mauro Ascoli. The composition depicts a Venetian canal scene, featuring a building with an ochre-coloured facade and a series of arched porticoes on the left, with expressive blue and grey tones representing water and reflections on the right. The artwork is signed within the print "MAURO ASCOLI" in the lower right corner. The canvas is wrapped and stapled around an internal wooden stretcher frame. The reverse side features a manufacturer label from the UK retailer The Range, identifying the piece as "Venice Canal I" and naming Mauro Ascoli as the artist.
