A set of five vintage pressed glass serving bowls and dishes with silver-plated rims
Description
A collection of five vintage pressed glass serving pieces, each featuring an attached silver-toned metal rim. The group comprises a shallow circular hors d’oeuvre dish divided into three compartments, featuring a diamond-point texture, a central starburst design, and an embossed Greek key pattern to the metal rim. A deep round bowl is decorated with molded geometric block and fan-shaped patterns to the sides and base. A medium round bowl features a large diamond-quilt or waffle-molded pattern on the exterior. A small circular bowl is raised on three integral glass feet and decorated with a sunburst base and cross-hatched side panels. The final piece is a circular bowl with a radial ribbed sunburst pattern on the base and a hobnail-style texture on the sides, finished with a serrated upper edge under a plain metal band. The pieces are constructed from pressed soda-lime glass with silver-plated or chrome-plated metal mounts.
Diameters ranging from approximately 12cm to 22cm.
Condition report:
Used Good condition, some tarnishing to silver edging. No visible cracks or chips
