Description
A weathered garden birdbath manufactured from cast or reconstituted stone. The piece consists of a shallow circular basin featuring a notched rim, upon which two seated figural putti or cherubs are mounted. The basin is supported by a cylindrical pedestal base with a rustic, textured finish designed to resemble a tree stump. The construction is solid and suitable for continued outdoor use. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the eroded surface.

Condition report:
The birdbath exhibits significant weathering consistent with prolonged outdoor exposure. There is a well-developed natural patina including moss and lichen growth across all surfaces. The cast stone shows extensive surface pitting and erosion, particularly affecting the fine details of the figural elements. A dark patch of organic staining or residue is present in the centre of the basin. No structural cracks or significant losses are visible.
