A Pair of Bburago 1/24 Scale CART Championship Die-cast Racing Cars
Description
This lot features two 1/24 scale die-cast model racing cars manufactured by Bburago, Italy, as part of their Formula 1 Collection series. The models depict open-wheel racers from the late 1990s CART PPG IndyCar World Series. The first model is finished in a yellow Pennzoil livery with racing number 4, featuring additional sponsorship decals for Nortel Networks, Goodyear, Bosch, and Earl’s. The second model is finished in a black Havoline and Kmart livery with racing number 11, featuring sponsorship decals for Big Kmart, Ford, Bosch, Gillette, Coca-Cola, Duracell, and Kleenex. Each vehicle is constructed with a die-cast metal main body and plastic components for the chassis, aerodynamic wings, suspension arms, and cockpit interior. The wheels feature plastic hubs fitted with rubber-effect tyres. The underside of both vehicles is moulded with a square logo containing a script capital B above the text Burago, Formula 1 Collection, and the 1/24 scale designation.

Condition report:
Both models are offered in unboxed condition and exhibit a significant layer of surface dust consistent with long-term open display. The yellow Pennzoil car shows visible damage to the rear wing assembly, with a section of the plastic structure missing on the right-hand side, and the front wing appears slightly misaligned. The black Havoline car is in better overall cosmetic condition but shows light surface abrasions and minor wear to the decal edges. Both vehicles remain structurally intact otherwise, and the wheels are free-rolling.
