Two Neofitou Greek Porcelain Peacock Vases with 24 Carat Gold Accents
Description
This lot comprises two pieces of Greek souvenir ceramics produced by Neofitou, both featuring a peacock and floral motif. The first item is a fan-shaped pedestal vase with a curved body and flared base, decorated with polychrome transfer-printed peacocks and gilded highlights. The underside is stamped with a Greek key border mark stating Hand Made In Greece In 24 K Gold. The second item is an ovoid bud vase with a matching peacock design and gilded bands at the rim and shoulder. Its base is marked with the Neofitou manufacturer stamp, stating Hand Made In Greece 24K Gold, accompanied by a hand-painted number 89.
Condition report:
The fan-shaped vase shows several significant chips to the gilded top rim and general wear to the gold decoration. The bud vase is in good condition with minor surface wear and light rubbing to the gilding on the rim.
