A British Army Warrant Officer Class 2 No. 10 Mess Dress Uniform
Description
A three-piece British Army No. 10 mess dress uniform comprising a jacket, waistcoat, and trousers tailored in midnight blue wool. The bolero-style mess jacket features a stand-up collar and pointed cuffs faced in dark navy velvet, both finished with gold cord piping. The right sleeve bears a gold bullion embroidered rank insignia for a Warrant Officer Class 2, depicting a St Edward’s crown within a laurel wreath on a circular red felt backing. The matching midnight blue wool waistcoat has a stand-up velvet collar with gold cord piping, two welt pockets, and a navy silk-effect lining with an adjustable cinch-buckle strap to the reverse. The high-waisted trousers are detailed with two parallel narrow red stripes down the outside of each leg. An interior textile label for Kashket Brothers is present, marked with size 40 SML and 100 per cent wool.
Condition report:
The uniform is in very good overall condition. The midnight blue wool maintains good colour with some light surface lint visible. The gold cord piping and bullion embroidery are bright and intact. Interior linings are clean and well-preserved. No moth damage or significant staining was observed.
