Mid-century Black Glazed Earthenware Pitcher with Ribbed Decoration
Description
A mid-20th-century glazed earthenware pitcher. The vessel features a bulbous body with concentric horizontal ribbing around the lower two-thirds of the form. It includes a short, tapered neck leading to a pinched trefoil or ice-lip spout, and is fitted with a large D-shaped loop handle. The exterior and interior are finished in a uniform, high-gloss black glaze. The base is recessed with a glazed centre and features an unglazed, light-coloured earthenware foot ring. There are no maker’s marks or factory stamps present on the base.

Width: Approximately 14 cm (including handle).
