A Cast Stone Lion Mask Fountain Spout
Description
A cast stone (reconstituted stone) garden wall plaque in the form of a lion’s mask. The relief carving depicts a lion with a thick, stylized mane and an open mouth. A central circular bore within the mouth indicates the piece was designed as a water feature or fountain spout. The item has a heavily textured surface consistent with the casting process and subsequent exposure. There are no maker’s marks or signatures visible on the front.
Height: Approximately 28 cm (11 inches).
Condition report:
In slightly weathered condition consistent with age and prolonged outdoor use. No major structural cracks are evident. Easy to clean up
