Mid-Century Style Sommerso Art Glass Gondola Bowl
Description
A mid-century style art glass centrepiece bowl of elongated boat or gondola form. The piece is produced using the sommerso technique, featuring a deep teal-green internal core encased within a thick layer of clear glass. The bowl tapers to two points and rests on a heavy, solid circular base. The exterior of the foot displays a satin-frosted finish, while the underside is flat and polished. No signatures, maker’s marks, or labels are visible on the item.
Length: 29.5 cm.
Condition report:
The piece is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The frosted finish to the foot appears original to the design. Light surface scratches consistent with age and use are present on the polished underside of the base.
