GAF Pana-vue Automatic 35mm Slide Viewer with Original Box
Description
A vintage GAF Pana-vue Automatic table-top slide viewer designed for standard 35mm (2×2 inch) mounted slides. The unit is constructed from light-grey and black moulded plastic and features a large, square magnifying glass viewing screen. It incorporates an integrated automatic slide-changing mechanism for viewing a stack of slides. The front of the base is marked with a small red gaf logo and the text Pana-vue automatic in black. The viewer is accompanied by its original illustrated cardboard box, which displays matching GAF Pana-vue AUTOMATIC branding in red and black.
Condition report:
The viewer shows visible signs of age and use, including general surface dirt and yellowing of the light-grey plastic components. The glass viewing screen appears intact but requires cleaning. The original cardboard box shows significant shelf wear, including corner scuffs, creasing, and areas of surface loss to the printed exterior. Both the internal mechanical slide-advance function and the electrical illumination components are untested.
