A Trio of Vintage Steel-Tipped Brass Darts with Case
Description
A set of three vintage steel-tipped darts featuring metal barrels with knurled brass-tone grips and integrated tapered silver-tone metal shafts. The set is accompanied by three yellow semi-translucent plastic flights. The darts are housed in a two-part protective case consisting of a black moulded plastic base and a clear plastic slide-on lid. The clear lid has faint moulded lettering at one end which is not clearly legible, however, the design and materials are consistent with mid-20th-century sporting equipment. The construction style, specifically the combination of brass-tone barrels and silver-tone shafts, resembles vintage models such as the Silver Comet series produced by Unicorn.
Condition report:
The darts show signs of use consistent with age, including surface scuffing and light oxidation to the metal barrels and shafts. The plastic flights exhibit minor edge wear and light creasing. The protective plastic case displays numerous surface scratches and scuffing to both the clear lid and the black base.
