A Pair of West German Art Pottery Drip Glaze Vases
Description
A pair of West German ceramic vases attributed to Bay Keramik. Each vase is of tapered, bulbous form featuring a lobed rim and standing on a circular pedestal foot. The exterior is decorated with a multi-coloured drip glaze in horizontal bands of dark brown, burnt orange, vibrant green, and cream. Gilt bands highlight both the upper rim and the base of the foot. The interior of each vessel is finished with a light cream glaze. The underside of each vase is impressed with the model number 548-14 and the mark GERMANY.
Dimensions: Height 14 cm.
Condition report:
Both vases are in very good condition. There is fine crazing to the glaze visible on the underside of each piece. Some minor surface wear and rubbing are present on the gilt rims and bases, consistent with age and handling. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible.
