Framed Nottingham Lace Commemorative Panel Experian Robin Hood Full Marathon 2000 20th Anniversary
Description
A framed commemorative textile panel produced in Nottingham lace to mark the 20th anniversary of the Experian Robin Hood Full Marathon in 2000. The woven design features a central figure of Robin Hood in a traditional archer’s pose drawing a longbow. The top right section incorporates the Nottingham City Council coat of arms, depicting two stags flanking a shield. Woven text throughout the piece includes EXPERIAN at the top left, a stylized Robin Hood FULL MARATHON logo on the left side, the year 2000 in the upper centre, and 20th ANNIVERSARY arranged vertically on the right. A small woven rectangular box at the bottom left appears to contain manufacturer or edition details, though the text is not clearly legible. The ivory-coloured lace design is set against a terracotta-toned background. The panel is presented in a dark wood frame with a narrow gilt-finish inner border and is protected under glass. The reverse is finished with a standard cardboard backing board secured by metal flexipoints.
