Vintage Garfield the Cat Screen-Printed Mirror, United Feature Syndicate, 1978
Description
A vintage decorative wall mirror featuring the comic strip character Garfield, created by Jim Davis. The mirror is screen-printed with a graphic depicting Garfield holding a knife and fork, accompanied by the humorous slogan GET STUFFED. The item is housed in a dark wood-finish frame. The bottom of the mirror bears the printed copyright notice: © 1978 UNITED FEATURE SYNDICATE, INC. This piece represents licensed character merchandise popular during the late 1970s and 1980s. The slogan carries a double meaning popular in British vernacular of the era.

Condition report:
The item is in fair vintage condition. The dark wood-finish frame shows several scuffs, scratches, and areas of finish loss, particularly along the top edge. The mirror surface appears generally clear but shows some minor spotting and surface dust. The reverse features a simple grey card backing held in place with metal glazier\'s points; the backing shows signs of age and dust. No hanging wire is present.
