Framed Original Medicine Head and Highway Concert Poster North East London Poly S.U. 1974
Description
A framed original concert poster for the British blues-rock duo Medicine Head, with support from the band Highway. The event was presented by the North East London Polytechnic Students Union (S.U.) and held at the Barking Precinct, Longbridge Road, Dagenham, on Saturday, 12th October 1974. The poster is printed in black ink on off-white paper and features a bold graphic illustration of a stylized screaming figure with outstretched hands against a yellow-toned background provided by the mount. The typography includes period-specific details such as admission prices (85p with S.U. cards, £1 without), transport information listing local bus routes (23, 87, 156, 238, 162) and a reference to e-Barking station. A printer’s mark is visible along the bottom right edge reading IMPACT WINDSOR 68330. The poster is housed in a black wooden frame with a vibrant yellow card mount and a clear glazing. The reverse is finished with an MDF backing board and a hanging wire.

Condition report:
The poster is in used, original condition with visible horizontal and vertical fold lines from historical storage or distribution. A notable diagonal crease or surface scuff is present across the upper section, passing through the letter E in Medicine and into the artwork. There is general light age-toning to the paper. The frame shows minor surface wear and light scuffing to the edges. One crack in glass
