Description
A collection of volumes comprising several editions of the ABPI Data Sheet Compendium, published by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. The grouping includes the reference works for the years 1989-90, 1993-94, 1994-95, and 1995-96. These thick octavo manuals served as standard industrial guides in the United Kingdom, providing technical medicinal data and the Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry. Each volume is bound in publisher’s original pictorial boards of varying colours: green (1989-90), dark green (1993-94), blue (1994-95), and red (1995-96). The 1989-90 edition is decorated with a graphic of medicinal tablets, while the subsequent editions feature a central coat of arms on the front covers.
Condition report:
The volumes exhibit signs of shelf wear consistent with their use as reference manuals. There is scuffing and rubbing to the pictorial boards, particularly at the corners and spine ends. The text blocks show tanning and light foxing on the outer edges, which is most pronounced on the 1989-90 volume. Internal pages appear generally clean.
