A Collection of Vintage Mencap Dennis the Menace Charity Pin Badges and International Flag Pins, 1998
Description
A collection of vintage charity pin badges and international enamel flag pins primarily dating from the late 1990s. The lot contains an assortment of Mencap charity pins featuring the British comic character Dennis the Menace holding a Beano comic. These badges are constructed from colourful enamel on metal and are predominantly mounted on their original orange and yellow printed backing cards.
The lot also contains a group of rectangular enamel pins depicting various national flags including Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Mongolia, Ireland, the Philippines, and South Korea. Several pins are held in individual clear plastic sleeves.
Materials: Enamel, metal, card, plastic.
Mencap backing cards: 60mm x 45mm
Flag pins: 15mm x 10mm.
Condition report:
Items are in generally good, unused condition, appearing as old warehouse stock. Some Mencap backing cards show minor storage-related wear such as light creasing and typical age-related toning. The flag pins in original sleeves are in excellent condition. The lot is housed in a heavily worn cardboard box which is for storage purposes only.
